WELCOME TO PIANO MEET!
MARCH 2020 PIANO MEET RESULTS
REGISTRATION for the March Piano Meet is now closed!! Please check back later for more information about the next Piano Meet.
HOW PIANO MEET WORKS:
Students from across the world submit videos. The videos are then reviewed, scored and ranked by a group of trained evaluators. The more a student competes the better their international Piano Meet Ranking (PMR) becomes!
To keep the competition as objective as possible Piano Meet uses a unique scoring system. In addition, students competing in the leveled repertoire category all play the same piece and receive sheet music with specific musical instructions. The intention of Piano Meet competitions is to make the results as fair and transparent as possible.
SCORING:
Playing is scored on how accurately and musically you play. Upon registering, students entering leveled repertoire categories will receive marked music so you know exactly what a perfect score requires. Places and Rankings are posted on pianomeet.com within 2 weeks after the video submission deadline.
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS:
1) In order to maintain the feel of a ‘live’ competition, video submissions must contain a minimum of two different continuous student performances.
2) Performers must clearly say their name before they play.
3) Video angle must be close enough to the performer so that we can see their hands clearly (see Piano Meet YouTube channel for examples)
Students can enter as many levels as they want to, increasing their Piano Meet Rank each Meet!
